WSAJ

wsajIn addition to representing individual clients on a daily basis, we also try to protect the rights of all injured workers, whether we represent them or not. That is why each of the attorneys in our office is an Eagle member of the Washington State Association for Justice (WSAJ). This is a state wide group of trial lawyers who attempt to protect people’s rights within the civil justice system and the rights of injured workers.

Wayne Williams of our office has been the Chairman of the Workers’ Compensation section of the Association, and is currently a member of the Board of Governors.

Doug Wyckoff of our office is working on several committees as a representative of the Association working with the Department of Labor and Industries.

Before and during the legislative session, we are asked to review legislation relating to workers compensation, and help the WSAJ board come up with their positions on legislation. From time to time, members of our firm have been asked to testify before the legislature or work in negotiations with other parties, to help resolve issues relating to workers compensation.

When the workers compensation system or civil justice system, in general, have been attacked, by state wide initiatives, our Law Firm has stepped up to volunteer time and money to help defeat those initiatives.

In short, the civil justice system and the protection of injured workers are not just areas we work in, they are things we believe in.
