Kathy was born in Seattle and moved to Olympia at the age of nine. She graduated from North Thurston High School in 1964. Prior to state employment, she drove truck long-haul over-the-road. Kathy worked for the State of Washington for 30 years. Among her many positions she held during her 30 year tenure with state employment, the most interesting positions were five years with the Washington State Patrol, Commercial Vehicle Division, two years with the State Patrol High Intensity Drug Trafficking Program, and three years with the Washington State Lottery. She spent the last six years of her state employment as a Claims Manager with Labor and Industries. Upon retirement from state service in 2015 she joined the firm of Williams, Wyckoff & Ostrander as a Claim Analyst and thoroughly enjoys the work.
Kathy has three grown children, two girls living in Washington and a son in Florida. She has two cats she rescued 12 years ago and a recent rescue of a puppy that is now seven months old. Kathy enjoys spending time with her family, doing needlework, crafts, and gardening. She loves to cook and providing treats to family and friends.
